Now this is fun! In the summer of 2005, the MountainView Log homes crew, lived in a customer's existing Real Log home while they worked on a new garage in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Hard work, but a more enjoyable experience is hard to find.
Zack and Pip taylor always wanted a log home, but they did not want a mortgage or to spend their life savings on it. They bought their lot 5 years ago and camped on it every year, until they met Kathy and Ed McLaughlin. Kathy and Ed,the Real Log Homes representatives for their part of Colorado, built their home on a budget 15 years ago and finished it, added to it and generally made it a home on a strictly cash basis. Zack and Pip liked the idea and asked Ed and his brother Doug to build them a shell. Here it is. They love it and have already spent their first vacation in it working on the inside!
